The PGA TOUR Golf Academy is a one-of-a-kind, full-service game improvement facility. Our passion is helping you improve your golf game, our mission is to exceed your expectations every step of the way and our commitment is for your complete satisfaction.
Each of our PGA TOUR Golf Academy instructors is a carefully selected career teaching professional who shares a refreshing, effective and proven approach to the art of successful golf instruction.
All of our instructors are certified to the PGA TOUR Golf Academy's exacting standards. Certification requires a commitment to a personable, straight-forward teaching style of applying the golf's accepted fundamentals and a positive mental approach to the game. Each shares a philosophy that golf does not have to be complicated and, more importantly, it should be a lot of fun. Our expert staff will:
- Help you develop more confidence on the golf course by improving your skills from lengthening your drives to improving the accuracy of your approach shots to showing you how to save shots around the greens.
- Teach you the ball flight laws so you will be able to recognize your own swing flaws as they occur and make the necessary corrections and create an individualized practice routine just for you that focuses on how you can improve your swing fundamentals after returning home.
- Help you to develop a pre-shot routine that establishes a solid foundation for consistent and accurate execution on every type of shot you will face on the course.
- Enhance your short game feel by teaching you the time-tested mechanics that will allow you to master pitching, chipping, bunker play and putting which, together, represent the majority of the game's shots and the fastest route to lowering your scores.
Our Facility
The PGA TOUR Golf Academy at World Golf Village offers an outstanding instruction facility including nearly 3,000 square feet of indoor facilities adjacent to the Slammer and Squire golf course and just a drive and a wedge from the World Golf Hall of Fame. Our state-of-the-art game improvement facility features indoor hitting bays, a private practice area, a putting and chipping green, practice bunkers and the finest diagnostic technologies. The facility also includes a comprehensive club fitting program.
The PGA TOUR Golf Academy at World Golf Village has been designed with a variety of unique enhancements to create the perfect environment for improving your game while incorporating the coastal beauty that is inherent to historic St. Augustine, Florida and our nearby accommodations and dining which include Murray Brothers' Caddyshacks restaurant and a variety of seaside dining choices just a few minutes away.
The grass practice tees and greens are manicured to PGA TOUR tournament standards allowing you to develop new skills under ideal conditions. Our comprehensive short game training facility allows for fine tuning every type of shot you may face around and on the greens. This is where we will elevate your skills to new heights while taking your scores to new lows.
